CADDIES and SPECTATORS


 

CADDIES

Caddies are not permitted, with the following exceptions:

  • Caddying is permitted in the final and/or match play rounds of GPGC’s various club championships, including the Club Championship, Fourball Championship, Ladies Championship, and Senior Championship.
  • Caddying is permitted in the relatively unusual circumstance that an accommodation is requested by a competitor, provided permission of the Tournament Director has been sought and given in advance of the event.

 

SPECTATORS

Spectators are not permitted, with the following exceptions:

  • Spectators are permitted for the final and/or match play rounds of GPGC’s various club championships, including the Club Championship, Fourball Championship, Ladies Championship, and Senior Championship.
  • Spectators are permitted in the relatively unusual circumstance that an accommodation is requested by a competitor, provided permission of the Tournament Director has been sought and given in advance of the event.

 

When spectators are permitted they must follow the following rules:

  • Spectators may not act as a caddy. Spectators are allowed to aid in the search for lost golf balls, and are permitted to rake bunkers once play in that bunker has ceased and the competitors have moved on to the next hole.
  • Spectators may not give advice to any player.  Spectators are to avoid all communication, whether verbal or non-verbal, that might be construed by others as advice or coaching.
